At The Fantastical Character Company, we bring fairytales to life through high-quality character entertainment, immersive storytelling, and unforgettable experiences. From princess parties and superhero adventures to mascots and villain appearances, our performers create moments children remember long after the confetti settles.

General Requirements

Applicants must:

• Be 18 years of age or older
• Have reliable transportation (we are located in Alexandria, VA)
• Have weekend availability
• Have acting and performance ability
• Be comfortable working with children
• Be flexible and willing to learn choreography, scripts, and character integrity standards
• Provide a professional resume
• Pass a clean background check

Appearance Guidelines (Face Characters)

• No visible tattoos (must be fully coverable)
• No braces

Bilingual performers are strongly encouraged to apply.

This opportunity is ideal for college students and young adults with a passion for theater, music, dance, and live event performance

👑 The Audition Process

All performers must complete our audition process outlined below.

Step 1: Submit Your Application

Start by filling out the Performer Application Form on our website.

Within the application, you will be asked to upload or link the following materials:

• Resume
• Headshots
• A short (non-professional is perfectly fine) video introducing yourself

You may either:
• Upload videos directly through the application form, or
• Share a Google Drive link (or similar file-sharing link) with viewing access enabled

Incomplete applications will not be reviewed, so please ensure all materials are submitted at the same time.

Please include the following video submissions:

• One full verse and one full chorus of a Disney Princess song with music
• The same verse and chorus performed a cappella
• A video of you dancing (princess style) to “Happily Ever After” by Jordan Fisher — one verse and one chorus (Show us how you would move and embody the character at a live party or event)

Step 2: Review & Interview

Once your full application and materials are received, our management team will carefully review your submission.

If selected, you may be invited to:

• A virtual interview
• An in-person audition
• A live callback

Step 3: Training & Trial Period

Performers who advance will enter a trial period that includes:

• Character training
• Script and choreography instruction
• Event shadowing

Please note: You may be considered for additional roles such as Character Attendant, Party Host/Hostess, or Mascot Performer based on your strengths and our current casting needs.
